Where you land in that range depends on three things: whether you need one arch or both, the type of restoration, and any preparatory work like extractions or bone grafting.
A single implant replacing one tooth costs far less than a full-arch case, since it's one implant and one crown rather than a full framework and restoration.
What insurance actually covers
Most dental insurance treats implants as major restorative work — the same tier as crowns and root canals — which typically means around 50% coverage, up to your plan's annual maximum. For a single implant, that maximum can cover a meaningful chunk of the cost. For a full-arch case, it rarely does — annual maximums are usually a few thousand dollars, a fraction of a $15,000+ case.

Why the range is so wide
Three variables move the number the most:
Extractions. If failing teeth need to come out first, that's added to the case rather than being a separate bill later.
Bone grafting. Some patients have lost enough bone that the implant site needs to be built up before implants can be placed. Not everyone needs this — we tell you at your consult, based on imaging, not a guess.
One arch vs. both. A full-mouth case (top and bottom) roughly doubles the arch cost, though there are efficiencies when both are planned and done together rather than separately, months apart.
